I still don't understand why Harry couldn't promise Dobby to not go to Hogwarts and then break that promise like he doesn't know him, he doesn't owe him anything. what is dobby going to do? force him to do an unbreakable vow?
I was 8 years old when I first read that book and had that thought and I am 25 years old now and I still don't get it
