I’ll start by saying second chance romances aren’t my jam. But I don’t think my qualms about this book have anything to do with that. It was too emotional. Too repetitive. A character would literally say something and on the SAME PAGE, the opposite character thought about it. I don’t think there was solid wrap ending. Unless the author is trying to lead into another book with Nichole, I thought that was unnecessary. I also felt like the FMC was really selfish. Putting a lot of the blame on the MMC, even after realizing her errors in their marriage it was all about how he hurt her. Not anything about how she didn’t support. Definite miss for me. 100+ pages too long. Won’t stop reading this author, especially as I’m excited for the next Cane Brother book.
