After finding myself in something of a reading slump for the past week, this book was exactly what I needed - a fun, fast paced, imaginative and whimsical adventure, which I couldn't put down. The Train to Impossible Places series has honestly just got better and better with every book. I loved it.
I do think it's a real shame that book 3 was not released in hardback in the UK and so I can't get a full matching set - especially since the illustrated hidden covers on the hardback editions of the first two books are really something special. Still, the book is full of wonderful illustrations by Flavia Sorrentino, and it is a really pretty cover.
Anyone who loves magical middle grade adventures should absolutely check out this series!
