It was such a tense read that honestly got me real bad when it came to how I felt. The imagery was disturbing, but I know it could've been a lot worse.
You feel for the MC in the book, but it's hard to fully justify his actions. I understand the meaning and purpose behind it, but at some points it felt gratuitous. There is some social commentary in here and some of it I felt was a little misguided and lumped people into too small of a category. I do feel like the ideas coming from the MC were attached to his mental state so maybe they were enhanced.
Overall, it was a good book, not for everyone, but still a good extreme horror novel.
