Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold by C.S. Lewis

mysterious slow-paced

5.0

A stunning book and definitely my new favorite myth retelling. Mysterious and terrifying and honest and sacred. Lewis incorporates deities in a way most myth retellings don't—they usually personify the gods (which many myths do too, of course), making them basically just superheroes, but here they are much closer to the divine unknown.
