TW: Suicide/grief

Anna’s fiancé died by suicide 10 months ago and Anna misses him and can’t seem to let him go. They were supposed to take a sailing trip to the Caribbean and she decides to go on their sailboat. She realizes she can’t sail alone and hires Keane, a handsome Irish man. Will she be able to move on from Ben?
This book was cute and yes it is a rom-com, but it does have that heaviness of dealing with grief and moving on from a loved one. I could not imagine how much pain Anna was in by losing her fiancé. If I was to lose my husband the pain would be excruciating. So, I can imagine how hard it was for her. I really loved her character development with going through her grief and seeing a new future for herself. Also, my favorite part is when they find an island dog and adopt her. I love dogs, so we know I loved that part. I did feel like the ending was a bit rushed and I hope we find out what happens to Anna and Keane in the sequel with Anna’s sister. I do recommend this book who wants a fast read.
