Utterly adorable friends to lovers, arranged marriage fantasy romance. I feel so mean not giving the last star, because this book had so much I liked -- gentle laugh out loud humour, zero "plot driving" miscommunications between our protagonists -- and yet. And yet, the fantasy side of it felt too slight, given the arc of that side of the plot. I didn't feel much urgency or worry about what was going on outside the main relationship, and it shouldn't have been that ignorable.

Might just be me and my pandemic-slump ... will leave it a while and then hunt down Book 2 in the series.
