This is a story of a queen who wanted to wear a unique crown. But the bees buzzed, the birds swarmed, and it was a giant mess. Instead of a new crown she sent the bees and birds across the wall to the neighboring kingdom. Come the next spring there was no flowers. The king attends a party to thank the Queen, and the kingdoms start a merging friendship. I can see why this book was hard to find. It has no staying power. It is too all over the place for a picture book. Plus the author makes sure to point the the queens “white” hands. That additional description is not needed. The only really good thing about this book is the wonderful illustrations.
