I resisted reading this book for a really long time. I thought it would be just like [b:Battle Royale|57891|Battle Royale|Koushun Takami|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266461715s/57891.jpg|2786327] and really depressing and bleak.

I was stupid. This book blew me away. I finished it in one day and then read the next two books over 2 days. The writing is phenomenal, the characters are lovely and thought out. One of my absolute favourite YA books.
