The Dream - a Hercule Poirot Short Story
by Agatha Christie
my first agatha christie!
and i really enjoyed it!
i would have chosen something else if i really had the choice but my library had this on audio book so i took it as a sign to start short and sweet and i really enjoyed this!
it’s a great mixture of something different and unique but also well known and loved sherlock holmes tendencies thrown in.
the writing was great and well paced and the characters interesting and the plot well thought out.
i can’t complain about anything really and will defiantly try to get my hands on more of her books!
actually the only complain i have is that on t the audio book the narrator made a very …. let’s say interesting choice with the pronounciation of „Hercules Poirot“
that was a bit grading to hear since while i might not be french or speak it very well i am pretty sure you do not say a hard H in the first name but rather leave it out.
so that was something different and not my personal favorite but overall it was well read, the name just clearly was troubling for the narrator.
