a commentary on the unrecognizable selfish that lies within well-intentioned actions and the inherent upholding of colonialist ideals while still critiquing the systems in power due to the society you are raised in. this novel challenges you to reflect on the choices you make, the hierarchies of power you uphold with those choices, and how that can result in unintentionally harming those you care about most.

a masterful work of meta-fiction on class, privilege, and human connection.
