Misery
by Stephen King
Thought this was fantastic! Despite only having two characters, at no point were they tiresome. King made each day to day occurrence vital to the plot or character development and I felt like I knew Paul’s mind inside out.
The plot was riveting and Annie’s precariously balanced mood swings kept me on edge throughout. One of those stories where you have to put the book down because it gets too tense!
Turned stomach-wrenchingly gruesome around 3/4 of the way through which was to be expected but the psychological aspect of the book was also phenomenally written.
