rachaelsfantasyland 's review for:
Eleanor & Park
by Rainbow Rowell
This is the first book this year that made me cry - that's an impressive feat!
I don't know why I waited this long to read this book. I have already read [book:Fangirl|16068905] and [book:Carry On|32768522] (which I both highly recommend!), so I figured I would give this one a try. The story is told from both Eleanor and Park POV's, and it's honestly beautiful to watch them fall in love. Eleanor is honestly a really relatable character who has flaws in appearance and emotions. It made me really sympathetic the more I learned about her family life.
Park is also a really realistic character. He is a nerd who always reads comics, and he's still trying to discover a sense of self. These characters were really intricate, and I felt like I would recognize them if I passed them on the street.
