I am learning that I really don't enjoy reading books about unlikable people. The protagonist lacked depth and failed to have any redeeming qualities, which made me wonder why I was bothering to explore her inner world. It felt like the majority of the secondary characters were unrealistic. There just wasn't much here for me to grip onto, or believe in.
