The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein
by Kiersten White
3,5 stars rounded up
Let's just start with the fact that this book has my favourite trope - found family (even if it's just for the last few pages). This was probably the only reason why I rated it more than three stars.
Because while the story may have been hurried in some places and too slow in others, the ending was exactly my cup of tea. Open, but happy and hopeful.
Also the writing was stunning, really nicely fitting the time setting and atmosphere of the book.
