His Tesoro by Emilia Rossi
4.0

I was shocked at how much I liked this book. Sometimes mafia books are too much. The men are too over the top macho. I don't care about the killing, that's not why I'm here.
With the FMC having disability, the MMC having to pivot to taking care of her was good to see. His empathy, while there but not used much, grew through the book. It seemed like his growth came from a genuine place. He fucked up, but he got there.
Her trauma was multi layered and we weren't thrown it all at once.
Their feelings for each other grew at a different pace as they grew as characters. When they finally went all in, it was right.
The spice was good and interesting. Kudos for adaptive sex play! The MMC having to think about the FMCs disability and how they adapted to it was kind and gentle and hot and rough.
The conflict in the third act was meh.
