Not even gonna lie, I loved this little novella. It was just so nice!

The painting and the intimacy, the little shopping trips. The trips to the Illyrian Mountains. And Nesta, oh my heart, Nesta!

The chapters from other characters' points of view were a very nice surprise indeed!

I'm looking forward to the first instalment of the second series. Admittedly, I'm not as eager for it as I am for Kingdom of Ash, but honestly, you could offer me any book in the whole world to appear in front of me right now — factual or fictional, mythological or otherwise — and I would choose Kingdom of Ash.
