A Breath Too Late by Rocky Callen

This book was a hard read for me. Ellie commits suicide and then haunts her old life. Her life so was hard to read about (although I know that sadly there are many out there like that.) The story is told sort of epistolary (although I'm not sure I would have noticed that if it hadn't been pointed out.) The letters are written to her mother and to a boy named August for the most part. In flashbacks, you find out what was making Ellie feel so depressed. I did appreciate that the suicide itself was glossed over. I've seen some reviews state that they think it might be triggering. For me, it mostly highlighted how hard it is to leave abusive situations.
