The adventure I just went on with Amari in this story was so enjoyable. The story reminded me a lot of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them vibes with wanting to fit in but also wanting to know about yourself and what you are capable of with magic. I already have the second book on hold at the library and can't wait to see what happens next.
