The House in the Cerulean Sea
by TJ Klune
A fun and light-hearted read; the entire book reminded me of cotton candy. You see it being made and you know exactly what is happening, but you enjoy watching and in the end, there is plenty of sweetness.
I think this may be one of the out-right happiest books I've read this year (odd for a book about prejudice, orphans, and government oppression, but hey - it's accurate), and it was fun to read.
I highly recommend to readers in need of a happy ending and a restoration of hope in people as long as you don't mind some common tropes and cliches.
