Intense. This book was definitely intense. I think everyone is attracted to things that are culturally taboo and that's why I picked this book up. It's like you want to look away, but you just can't because it is fascinating. The whole time I was like ewww I could never do this so how could they, but given these characters situation it was made more believable and the author really made you feel the love between them. This story was the definition of tragedy. It broke my heart. I don't know how the author wrote this so I give her major props. Why is consensual incest against the law? If you love someone you love them, why be punished for that? This book proves that although as a society we think we are open minded, we aren't as open minded as we like to believe.
