One for Sorrow
by Helen Sarah Fields
So I do really enjoy this series but for some reason, it always takes me a while to get into the story. I also find it’s one of those books that is best read in long sittings. It’s hard to dip in and out because there’s a lot going on. Luc & Ava are great characters, although I do struggle with the will they, won't they trope. The chemistry does add some spice to the hunt for a violent killer though. The actual crime was very stressful with a heartbreaking start and a traumatic ending. So many emotions. I found the chapters from Quinn's POV so intriguing, especially trying to work out how her experience was tied to the terrifying murders. It can be read as a standalone but I think you get more from the main characters if you read them in order. Plus it’s just a great series. I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
