Ghosts
by Raina Telgemeier
I don’t know what harder: to tell a well done story or to tell a well done story in graphic novel form. Raina Telgemeier has done both in this story of a family on the move. Maya and Cat are sisters. Due to Maya’s cystic fibrosis they are moving to northern California. It may be California, but it is cold, and foggy, and full of ghosts. This story is so much more than one story, but many ideas that meld. It takes readers on a fun adventure, as well as making points about dieing, and remembers family members who pass, and that passing on may not be as bad as we think. Don’t get me wrong, this is a very happy book, but there are so many subtle lessons, that I can not describe. To see for yourself, pick up this book. It’s a quick read.
