reggie johnson finds herself acting as a familiar to a powerful, but eccentric witch after applying for a job she found in a newspaper. reggie is shocked when she finds out that magic isn't as fake as she thought it was. however, she is willing to do whatever her eccentric boss wants if it means getting paid the exorbitant amount of money she is offered. ben magnus, her boss's grouchy but handsome nephew is the only problem. he doesn't think she's capable or worth working with. but when a magical vendetta against the household arises, the two find themself forced to work together to break a deadly curse.

go hex yourself is a fun, magical, and steamy witchy romance. it feels like a great example of enemies to lovers in a contemporary done well. i liked both characters and found their romance to be rather charming. though it was a bit slow getting to the main plot, i found the heroine's slow trek into magic to be more realistic. it was very atmospheric and a perfect october/fall read imo. i'm looking forward to reading more by jessica clare in the future.
