Alex Verus has to think around his opponents instead of just beat them down - and I love it! This book gave me a magic world with cool characters and a fast-paced plot. It is definitely reminiscent of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, but it has its own twists. I highly recommend this book to any fans of urban fantasy or supernatural adventure!
