This book is essentially three different stories taking place over a span of 20 years at the same house, with the house as the narrator (though the three stories do end up connecting at the end). While I think the concept of the house as a narrator was an interesting one, it just wasn't necessarily my jam. I couldn't suspend disbelief enough to believe that the house knew what the characters were all thinking.
Outside of that, though, I did enjoy each of the stories told here. It's very much a character driven story, with each character working through something different in their lives. Each individual story was well written, and I could really get into it when I forgot that the house was narrating.
All in all, an enjoyable read for the most part, especially if you like character driven stories.

Minor: Homophobia
There's also extensive conversations about the COVID pandemic.
