Sadie
by Courtney Summers
True rating 4 to 4.5
This was such a heavy story to read.
I somehow managed to get into this book fully blind despite the hype. Well, I knew that it's about finding a girl that run away. I heard that the subject is heavy but I honestly didn't expect it to get this dark.
I basically just read it in one long siting and chose the audio book route for it as it was heavily suggested to me to do so. I'm glad for it. The format worked wonderful on audio. It made the story feel more real... even though the thought of that makes me incredibly sad and angry. What happened to Sadie is... i can't even imagine all the feelings she must have felt.
The end gave me the rest... I started crying when I saw that it'll have that kind of an open ending. I'm still... I really wish there would have been closure but in all honesty, despite me feeling that way it's actually the perfect ending for it.
Great, heavy, dark and mature book
