Fright Bite (Dread Wood, Book 5)
by Jennifer Killick
Dread Wood has fast become one of my absolute favourite middle grade series. From the moment I pick up a new book in the series I'm utterly gripped, and I feel bereft when it's over - which sadly doesn't take that much time because the books are not very long and are extremely fast paced.
Fright Bite lives up to its name with some genuine tension and moments that made me shiver (reading it immediately before sleeping was possibly not my best idea!) but as usual there was also plenty of humour and heartwarming moments along the main characters.
This is book five which did make me worry that we may be heading towards the end of the series, but the significant plot developments in the book make me hopeful that we still have a few books to go. I already can't wait for the next one.
