This lovely sweet romance is a wonderful beginning to the Pilsdale Chronicles.
Jasper is 43, full of laughter, sunshine and kindness. Sweet Ben is 25, can get lost in his own head and is returning to Pilsdale after 4 years away. He’s also best childhood friends with Jasper’s son.
Circumstances have Ben moving into Jasper’s farmhouse and them working together. This involves wrangling sheep, feeding piglets and all other manner of farm related chores, leading to some witty banter and eventually heated looks between these two very likeable characters. They soon find themselves in each other’s arms but there is a timeframe in place for the relationship.
I did enjoy the cast of meddling villagers who provided plenty of interest in this very enjoyable and engaging low angst romance. I was left with a happy heart and a huge smile as Ben and Jasper, after a minor hiccup, got their longs for HEA. I look forward to the next instalment.
