Something's Cooking by Meg Lacey
3.0

Tess is just too perfect for Josh - and he feels the need to expose her for the fraud that she is. It's too bad that she isn't anything like what he expected her to be. She is sweet, smart, funny, and someone he wants to spend a lot more time with. Tess is wary of the reporter that is sent to follow her around and report on her new show, but she has no idea his real purpose is to try and show all her secrets to the world. She invites him into her life (at the urging of her mother) and sparks fly.

I had a harder time believing the love in this story than I do in most. It seemed a little far fetched that these two people could be happy together. The writing was witty and very entertaining - I think the characters needed to have at least a little something more in common. Tess's mother and sister were perfect and really helped round out the characters, bringing out sides of Tess and even Josh that would have been hard to see otherwise.

This was a sweet romance, but I just didn't connect with it as much as I had hoped. People who enjoy a good opposites attract style romance will most likely enjoy this more. - See more at: http://hotofftheshelves.blogspot.com/2013/08/review-somethings-cooking-by-meg-lacey.html#sthash.LiFbeAOs.dpuf
