Audra is an art student, one of the best Max Durant has ever taught. When she invites him to her home in a remote part of Maine, he believes he is there to see her thesis project… and maybe begin a relationship with his budding student. This was definitely a slow build story. I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it for the majority of the book but the ending really made it worth it for me. Still not enough to bump it into the 4 star range but enough to not give it 3. I got the ending I was hoping for with this one and I truly didn’t expect to. I figured the author would find a way to change the course at the last minute but I was really glad she didn’t. I enjoyed this more than I expected to and definitely recommend it if you don’t mind the slow build!
