The Spanish Love Deception
by Elena Armas
Listen, I'm a sucker for a cheesy romance book, and this one was filled to the brim with the perfect concoction of tropes.
Enemies to lovers? Check.
Insane pining? Check.
"It's been you all along"???? Just check all the boxes.
I had butterflies throughout this whole book. Aaron Blackford has some heart-meltingly romantic lines that just make you feel like you're being wrapped up in a cosy bubble of romanticising where the real world doesn't exist and everything is fairy-tale perfect. It was heart-stuttering, closing-the-book-to-deal-with-the-emotions the entire second half, and spicy as hell.
