I'm rounding this up from a 2.75 ⭐ because I hate the idea of rating it anything less than a 3 😭

I wanted to love this book so much more! I love CM Nascosta's monster romances but this one just did not do it for me.

Nothing was wrong with the characters themselves. Grace and Merrick were super sweet together. 

For me, it was the writing style. The flow of the story just made no sense to me - it kept jumping from present moment to flashbacks (I think? Honestly, I'm still not sure). But there was no delineation between moments in time so everything ran together and it made it really hard to stay in the moment. So unfortunately, this one is a no from me. 

I am still super excited for the 3rd book in this series though.
