Even though this is marked at a younger audience, I found I really enjoyed it and it was darker than I expected. Its not your typical middle grade book. I've wanted to read this for a while as I thoroughly enjoyed The Demonata series. The story moved at a fast pace without over complicating things and blending in darker tones seamlessly. I enjoyed the characters alot, and I love that the main character has a fascination with spiders as that's not a trait you see often in characters.
