Well if this is the most bigoted, racist, xenophobic, if should get better from here on out. I think Howard had the fever dream rather than his character Morgan. Of course the bad guy turns out to be the rich, white man though somehow he is written somewhat sympathetically. This is my first real horror, I think. Not a real fan let alone expert on horror but dipping my toe in. Read this to beef up my January reads and so I'd better understand Victor Lavelle's retelling of this which I plan to read in February. The most horrifying thing about this is the author.
