One of the Girls by Lucy Clarke
5.0

Overview: Um...where do I start? I was so excited to read this. Lucy is one of my favourite authors and I wish I could pick her brain because it's a goldmine! Seriously...this book was just incredible the way the lives of the women intertwined and it jumped from one POV to another, weaving a new snippet of information in effortlessly. It was so clever and yes, it was a slow burn...like a proper slow burn, but not one where you think "hurry up!" but where you sit on the edge of your seat and think "ahhhh! What's going to happen!"

Good Points: The setting of the book was amazing. I read 3/4 of the book in a day. I was instantly transported to that sunny place and wanted to be one of the girls. The characters jumped off the page and even though one was a complete cow I still liked her. I literally can't say enough good things. The twists were jaw-dropping. I actually swore out loud and my husband asked me what was wrong.

Not so Good Points: Not one damn thing.

The Castaways was one of my top 10 books of last year and this has easily jumped into my number 1 spot so far.
