This was such a fun, quick read. I enjoyed the timeline jumps and multiple narrators throughout. The story of Sadie and Sam was a great long term friendship that has its ups and downs, perceived betrayal, devout loyalty, and growth. There are a TON of video game references I had to gloss over (as a non-gamer) but they weren’t things I felt were necessary to understand the story. There’s a lot of trauma packed in this book, so at times it felt a bit too much. Sometimes the “fights” between the friends felt contrived, but ultimately the book left me ~feeling~.
