I don't totally buy into the premise that parts of our DNA could give us the "perfect match" of a soulmate but it made for an interesting plot twist on a fake dating trope that I ended up enjoying.
Jess is doing such a great job as a mom and granddaughter and a freelancer . I really like her friendship with Fizzy and how Jess describes her child's personality as half of her and half her best friend.
I felt for River when Jess and Fizzy thought he was rude but he was just shy. I feel that way. I connected with him that way.
River and Jess were just so cute falling in love slowly and without the pretense that science is the ONLY way they could have possibly been matched.
