For what could have been a cool crossover we instead just get Spider-man vs Doctor Doom...2099 is barely in here and he's gone in a flash.

There's things that work. I like Spencer's Peter. He's funny, he's heroic, and he wants to do good. He gets Spider-man's traits down. I also was intrigued by the Miguel storyline for when it was shown. And I like how Peter used his brain to outsmart Doctor Doom, was a nice thing to see my boy use something new.

But holy fucking shit, what a confusing mess of a major plot. Miguel comes in, warns Peter, and is gone in a second. What a weird thing to do. I also hated the first half at parts. Overtalking and boring plotlines did NOT help at all here.

Overall, another good but not great volume from Spencer's run. Hoping we get another great one sometime....maybe....
