I love a good end of the world book and this one did not disappoint!
A disease starts wiping out the worlds population quickly and efficiently. Within weeks half the worlds population is dead. But with this disease comes something else, the rise of magick.

I got serious Walking Dead vibes out of this book (minus the zombies) at times and I was really enjoying it. I do think the story progressed a little quicker than I would have liked. Half the fun in these kinds of stories is reading about the struggles faced on the road and we got that for a bit but most of the journey the two groups were on got cut short. Not to mention the whole end of the book just doesn’t mention some of the main characters from earlier in the book which was not cool. I’m sure it was meant to be suspenseful and get us to go out and get book 2 and it damn well worked!
Can’t wait to read the next one!
