When Katie Met Cassidy
by Camille Perri
A cutesy novel that tells the love story of Cassidy, an out and proud lesbian, and Katie, who was once engaged to a man, but is now unsure about her sexuality. While some might disregard this novel as “fluff” or yet another contemporary romance, the author does a fantastic job approaching modern misconceptions about the LGBTQ+ community. I was rooting for their love throughout the entirety of the story and highly recommend reading this one. It is a quick, but essential read as it highlights a topic that still lacks representation in modern day literature.
