When I tell you I was so on board with this book, I mean it. For about 3 chapters or so I knew this was going to be 5 stars and then that twist happened and it lost me. I nearly gave up but given that it's so short I thought what the hell just finish it. I'm disappointed I did. Multiple religious mentions and another crazy twist later and you have a wacky holiday tale that was hard to follow and felt hollow. Absurd and would not recommend.
