We are first introduced to Duane, the male main character (MMC), as he eyes a pretty girl with amber skin walking into a gas station. We later find out she is the female main character (FMC), Reggie. After a chance meeting and Reggie seeing something she was not supposed to, Duane lets her escape, but only physically, as he takes it upon himself to stalk her for six months. However, when he finds out someone is blackmailing him, he doesn't know who to trust, and Reggie is at the bottom of the list.

The way that Audrey seamlessly added representation to this book warmed my heart. Race was never mentioned, and it was not the focus. The only thing we knew is that Reggie had amber skin. Duane was intense, but the way he saw Reggie and saw right through her was awesome. This read was fast-paced and had spice from the moment you open the book. 10/10
