This might be my favorite Laura Pavlov book to date! This was just so good. I love a good small town, single father romance and this did not disappoint. I have been waiting for Nash's story and of course, more of our favorite little guy, Cutler aka Beefcake! This sort of reminded me of Virgin River, because you have a new, young doctor move to town to take over the aging doctor's practice, but in this case, the young doctor clashes with the single father who is very protective of his son. Emerson is tasked with helping to care for Cutler, who has pretty severe asthma and Nash is not too fond of her... at first. He loves his son so much and you can tell his reservations stem for simply being scared for his son, but he and Emerson don't exactly get along at first, but they soon warm up to each other. Emerson is so fearless and such an amazing person and Nash is a sweetheart underneath the gruff exterior. Cutler is just the most adorable little boy and stole the show so many times! This book was just so funny, sweet, and of course, super hot.
