This book started as a record that a friend of the Bell family started to keep track of all the events going on involving the Witch, because of that some of the language is outdated and a bit crude. 
I knew a bit about the Bell Witch before I read this book, so most of this book was information I already knew. Parts of the book felt very repetitive, but it flowed like how the event took place for the most part.
