I couldn't put this book down! I also enjoyed King's conception of psychic powers. Stephen King's use of humor (deliberate or not) helped to make Firestarter extremely enjoyable. Another reason I enjoyed Firestarter was that it included most of my favorite Stephen King tropes (e.g. italics).
