I am always interested in WW2 writings but cannot, obviously, keep up with the sheer amount of them. This one was even more striking because of the author’s notes at the end letting us know this was a true story and the stories were those of her own family. Looking at the story after that produced unparalleled awe at just how lucky and beautiful this family is. Great writing. Easy to read. Tears at the end.
