Waiting for You by Cora Rose
4.0

I'll say it once and I'll say it again, Cora Rose is my favorite guilty pleasure romance author. This is definitely one of my favorites by her. A little over the top, slightly ridiculous, spicy, and very funny.

When Grey's son cancels on his RV trip across Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Quinn (his son's best friend) decides to join him. Quinn decides this is his time to shoot his shot with the object of his affection, and shenanigans ensue.

I liked Quinn, he was very self assured in what he wanted and went for it. He was so funny with his obsession and jealousy over Grey, who was just so oblivious/in denial. Grey was just pretty okay with me, mostly because I'm slightly offended how he kept acting like he's 50 when he's only 33. It's not the old, calm down. And I wish he gave a little more in their relationship, especially during the conflict. He kept saying he wanted someone to fight for him like Quinn hadn't been doing it the whole book. He struggled a lot with his own self confidence, having issues with his ex-wife (were they ever married?) and relationship with his son, and in that sense Quinn was perfect for him. I just wanted to see him support Quinn the same way.

Quinn and Grey have crazy physical chemistry. I wish we saw a little more of their daily life because besides traveling and sex, I wasn't sure they had much in common? I think that they're physical connection and admiration for each other was a good base but I wish we got a little more for that emotional, long lasting relationship.

Their relationship was a wild ride and fun to read. The story is funny, pretty spicy and entertaining. A perfect light, easy read.
