The Cloisters
Let me start by saying the writing is wonderful. The atmosphere is well done and that cover.
However, we find out there’s a dead body on page 1 and it takes 2/3 of the book to get there. By the end, I wanted every character to die— Patrick, Ann and Rachel. Yes even Ann. They were questionable humans as a whole and at the end I cared for not a single one of them.
This book could’ve been better if it was faster. It dragged for too long and then boom we were done.
Would I read this author again? 100% because again the writing was well done.
