i loved this book so much.

it’s a queer little thing—in both senses of the world (ha)—and has everything i love reading about. strong characters, lovely writing, intrigue, assassination plots, gruesomeness, the mafia, and magic.

plus, it features a genderqueer love story so carefully and respectfully written you can’t help but fall in love a bit too.
